Lead Designer

Opportunity: Minnesota DOT, in an effort to meet the needs of its highway users, wants to provide real-time rest area availability data to truckers and drivers that need overnight accommodations.

Leveraging two unique data sources (CARS & weight sensors installed on parking units) we were able to publish the data needed to inform the public. Our next challenge was to design a UI that showcased the data in an inutative manner that can be accessed on all devices, included their 511 App.

To execute this we developed a new set of icons, effective copy, modern material design techniques, and responsive web principles.
